Bill McBride
Bill McBride is a health club industry veteran. He has worked in all aspects of sales, marketing, leadership, management, member experience and operations. He currently serves as the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Active Sports Clubs/Active Wellness. He also is the Founder, President & CEO of BMC3. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for IHRSA and MACMA (Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association), been a Board Member on ACE’s Industry Advisory Panel, Club Business Pro’s Advisory Panel, The Wellness Health Education Advisory Board and was a contributing faculty member of Club Success Magazine.
He is an international presenter and industry recognized expert in sales, sales management, marketing, retention, club operations, customer service, member experience and leadership. Bill has presented at major industry conventions (IHRSA, IHRSA Institute, IHRSA Profitability Conference, IHRSA Asia-Pacific Forum, IHRSA European Conference, FitLife, CCD, NEHRSA, Club Industry, FILEX, Russian Fitness Festival, FIA & ChinaFit).
He currently serves as a Medical Wellness Advisor for the Medical Wellness Association, on Fit3D’s advisory board, Club Industry’s advisory board, Club Solutions advisory board, Zuberance’s advisory board, the Medical Wellness Association’s advisory board and contributes articles to CBI, California Clubs of Distinction, FitLife and Club Insider. Bill is originally from North Carolina and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from East Carolina University. This is Bill’s “life work”: he is committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives through a profitable fitness/preventative wellness delivery system. He sees the positive impact this industry can play on the quality and longevity of our population.
